Pandit's outreach and services to the communities he facilitates and guides include university programs, vegetarian/vegan cooking workshops, interactive discussions on the timeless philosophy of the Bhagavad-Gita, as well as spiritual reflection workshops based on everyday concerns and applications.  He also facilitates hands-on educational workshops on the arts of mantra meditation and the practice of bhakti-yoga.  His outreach extends to the New York/New Jersey Hindu community, where he played a role in helping to make Diwali an officially recognized holiday in New York City, and he also participates in local interfaith dialogues and events. As well, he also leads presentations and workshops for local high school students and community groups.

Columbia - Pandit's commitment to the Columbia University community is based on his heartfelt desire to cultivate and create dynamic spiritual community, bearing results and fruits that benefit the larger community as a whole. He is the current Hindu chaplain at Columbia University, the first individual to hold that title. NYU - Pandit is also the first Hindu chaplain in the history of New York University.  At NYU he is an active presence, facilitating spiritual discussion groups and yoga workshops/seminars designed to help the active students of this progressive urban community understand the practical benefits of developing a spiritual perspective on life.
